Valetta Delahunty

Valetta Delahunty, 90, of Gothenburg, NE, died January 29, 2022 at Gothenburg Health.

She was born August 11, 1931 in Etna, NE, daughter of Valdemar and Mary (Shaw) Hunse.

She enjoyed square dancing, china painting, loved to play bridge, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include son, Tom Delahunty, daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Chambers, grandchildren, Jessica (Jomar) Pika, Jenna (Ryan) Lockhorn, Jaime Delahunty, Shawn (Sara) Chambers, Lindsey (Brian) Anderson, Joe Delahunty, Chris (Lauren) Delahunty, 11 great - grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Valetta was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Francis Delahunty, her parents, Val and Mary Hunse, son, Jerry, daughter-in-law, Sonia, and great-granddaughter Remi.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Thursday, February 3, 2022, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm with the family present. A Rosary will follow at 6:00 PM.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Friday, February 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Father Michael Pampara officiating.

Interment will follow in the Willow Island Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the family for later designation.
