Susan Strayer

Susan Strayer, 65, formerly of Gothenburg and Central City, Nebraska, died January 2, 2014 in Central City, NE.

She was born February 21, 1948 in Lincoln, NE, daughter of Gayle and Eileen Strayer.

Susan grew up in Gothenburg and graduated from Gothenburg High School. She was a English Professor in Lincoln. She was member of the Nebraska Poets and several poetry clubs. She enjoyed teaching, writing poetry, music, playing guitar and painting.

Surviving are two sister, - Kayleen (Ron) Ostergard of Gothenburg, NE, Viki (Jerry) Schnacker of Gothenburg, NE;

Susan was preceded in death by father, Gayle David Strayer, mother, Eileen Strayer.

Inurnment services will be held at Gothenburg Cemetery, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 2:30 pm with Pastor Mark Borchardt officiating.
