Susan Daub

Susan J. Daub, 91, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died March 18, 2015 at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in Gothenburg, NE.
She was born July 4, 1923 in Pine River, MN. Susan was one of 16 children born to Frank and Mary (Slovic) Mudick. Her siblings included - Annie, Stella, Francis, Maxine, Lois, Albert, John, Fred, Ben, Joe and Henry.
Susan grew up in Pine River and lived there until 1954. Susan married Allan Daub on July 18, 1956 and they lived in Colorado from 1954 to 2003 living in Rifle, Ridgeway, Hotchkiss, Fruita, Grand Junction and Aravada. They moved to Gothenburg in 2003. Susan worked as a cook in various restaurants and also provided child care for many years. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, sewing and gardening.
Surviving are husband, Allan Daub of Gothenburg, NE; son, Franklin Daub; three daughters, Constance Daub, Catherine Hoffman, Madeline York; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two sisters - Stella and Annie; three children from a previous marriage - Eugene and Junior Meyer of Staples, Minnesota, and daughter Virginia Manus of Minneapolis, Minnesota. along with many extended relatives and friends.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and 13 siblings.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Thursday, March 26, 2015, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. with the family present from 5-7.
Services will be held at American Lutheran Church, Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:30 pm with Pastor Jon Mapa officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.
