Biography

Ronald Morris Brockevelt, 58 of Gothenburg, NE died on Tuesday December 18, 2007 at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in Gothenburg.

Ron was born on February 4, 1949 to Ernest and Margaret (Timms) Brockevelt at David City, Nebraska. Ron grew up in Polk, Nebraska attending the Polk public schools graduating from Polk High School. After High School he entered the US Air Force were he served his country from December 9, 1968 until July 11, 1972. Ron worked as a truck driver for almost thirty years. He enjoyed the outdoors whether that be fishing, camping or just enjoying the fresh air. Ron enjoyed cars, mostly, Hot Rods and stock car races. The most important thing to Ron was his family and friends. He enjoyed spending as much time with his family as he could and morning coffee with his buddies was a must.

Ron is survived by two sons William and Nick both of Gothenburg, NE; one daughter Shala and her husband Chuck Kello of Greeley, CO; three brothers Rich Brockevelt and his wife Pat of Polk, NE; Robert Brockevelt and his wife Barb of Vermillion, SD; Roger Brockevelt of Denver, CO; and one Grandchild Harlan Morris Brockevelt of Gothenburg, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Margaret Brockevelt.

Register Book will be available for signing from 9am-4 pm, Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, NE. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 21, 2007 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel Gothenburg, NE, with Father Donald O'Brien officiating.
