Rodger Earll Jr, 54, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died Friday, July 22, 2022 at his home in Gothenburg, Nebraska.
Rodger was born Monday, August 28, 1967, in Colorado Springs, CO, the son of Rodger Dale Earll Sr. and Cheryl Earll.
He grew up in Gothenburg, where he attended Gothenburg Public Schools and he enjoyed playing football with his friends. Rodger worked various jobs but really enjoyed operating heavy equipment with his brothers, Mike Earll and Kevin (Heather) Earll. Rodger always looked up to his sister; Deanna (Dee) and her husband Brad. Rodger was always there for his friends and family whenever they needed him.
Rodger’s children, who are fun, loving, and stubborn just like their dad, includes Tory and Adrian Linden of Lincoln, NE, Samantha Jo Earll of Lincoln, NE, Shanee and Tanner Earll of Kearney, NE, and Ryan Earll. His grandkids include Ryker Jordan, Harley Dale, Baylee Alyce Swae, Abbie Rose, Aedan Alan, and Leerykk Renea Baylii, whom he loved and cared for deeply. Rodger‘s nieces and nephews are Ainsley Swan, Brittney Earll, Dirk Earll, Tyler Miller, Trayven Miller, Tarynn Miller, Titus Earll and Zada Earll, along with great nieces and nephews.
Rodger was preceded in death by his wife Kanda, his grandma; Bev Earll, his grandpa; Kenneth Earll and a grandpa; Floyd Murray.
While he was staying in Lincoln with Samantha and Ryker they enjoyed going to rodeos, grilling, going to concerts, and teaching Ryker how to ride a bike.
In Rodger’s spare time he loved hanging out with friends, going fishing, always enjoyed spending time with family, going to sweat lodges, watching his brother Mike drive stock car and every now and then having a beer with his brother Kevin. Due to some health issues Rodger wanted to spend each day to the fullest and his last few weeks he enjoyed watching fireworks, going camping, having fire pits, and enjoyed laughs with his family and friends.
Rodger wants to encourage everyone to be kind and always help one another, to let go of hard feelings and love each other. Most of all keep your faith in our Lord. Romans 12:20.
On July 30, 2022 there will be a family led graveside service at Peckham cemetery, south of Gothenburg at 11 AM, a celebration of life has been chosen and will be held from 12 to 5 PM located at 618 Avenue B; Rodger’s dad’s shop, and a light meal will be served.
