Robert Warren DeMilt, Sr., 55, of Gothenburg, NE, passed away Saturday, January, 17, 2009, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.

Robert was born to Clair and Marcedes 'Susie' (Hubbard) DeMilt on May 18, 1953, in North Platte. Robert attended school and later graduated from Brady. He received his Bachelors Degree in Education and an Associates Degree in Accounting.

He spent most of his childhood in Brady and then moved to Gothenburg. He spent the last 14 years in the McCook and Cambridge area and recently moved back to Gothenburg.

Robert married Patty Wing in Gothenburg in 1973. They were married for 20 years. He later married Cheryl Schultz in 1995 in North Platte.

Robert was a member of the Lions Club in Brady. He taught Sunday school in McCook, was a Mentor at the Evagelical Free Church in McCook, and was the Superintendent of Sunday school in McCook. Robert attended Faith Chapel in Gothenburg.

Robert loved music, cars and Celtic Basketball. He loved Rocky and Stephen Segal movies. He also collected Bibles.

Survivors include his daughter: Tamara and Robert Palmer of Brady, sons: Tobias DeMilt of Maxwell, Joseph and Becky DeMilt of Omaha, Joshua DeMilt of Tempe, AZ, and Daniel and Molly DeMilt of Kearney, his mother: Susie Hoaglund of Gothenburg, sisters: Barb Longsine of Gunthrie, OK and Pam Koss of North Platte, brothers: John and Monica Hoaglund of North Platte and Randy Hoaglund of Lincoln, and nine grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by a son: Robert Warren DeMilt, Jr., his father Clair DeMilt and grandmother, Ora Hubbard.

Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am at Faith Chapel in Gothenburg, on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

Services will be 11am, Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Faith Chapel in Gothenburg.

Burial will be at a later date.
