Rickey "Joe" Gutherless

Rickey Joe Gutherless, 67, of Brady, Nebraska, passed away on  July 29, 2018 at his home in Brady, NE.

Rickey "Joe" Gutherless was born on June 28, 1951 in North Platte, NE to Richard and Barbara Gutherless. He was raised on the family ranch and attended Brady Public School where he was active in Boy Scouts, 4-H, and sports. Joe served in the United States Navy from 1970-72 and then followed his adventurous spirit which took him to many states and occupations. He will be remembered for the many interesting stories and pictures about fishing and hunting trips that were very important to him. Even while living and working in places far from his home, it was his home and family that brought him back.

He is survived by his children: Teri Jo Clausen (Josh) of Lincoln, Bobby M. Gutherless of Missouri, and Jodi MacKenzie (Ryan) of Arizona, his grandchildren: Haylee Mitchell, Parker Gutherless, and Olivia MacKenzie, his mother, Barbara Gutherless and sister, Susan (Bob) Golter and brother Scot (Karen) Gutherless, his special friend Carol Lunkwitz and fishing buddy Gig Davis as well as many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Dick Gutherless, sister, Kristi Sukraw and grandparents; Frank and Ruth Gutherless and Johnny and Mary Weber.

Memorial Services for Joe will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10:00 at Blase Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg, NE.

Inurnment will be at the Brady Cemetery.
