Rebecca Noelle Lehmkuhl, 38, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died October 9, 2019 in Lincoln, NE.
She was born December 25, 1980 in Phoenix, AZ, daughter of Mark and Cynthia (Clark) Lehmkuhl. The family relocated to Tucson, Arizona in 1984. In 1995, her family moved to Gothenburg Nebraska where she stayed until she graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1999. She then went to McCook for 2 years of college and then moved to Grand Island for 2 years. She lived in Detroit Michigan from 2004-2015, and then she moved to Lincoln Nebraska 2015 where she lived until her untimely death.
Rebecca was very active in high school and had many friends. She was an impressive flutist. She spent so much time practicing her craft; making it to All State Band her senior year. She was very proud to be a Thespian and was involved in the One Act plays. Her senior year she created a play for the Jr High, which was performed under her direction. She also competed and did very well in Speech, making it to State Speech twice.
Music was her life. She learned to play piano and was part of her church’s worship team. She enjoyed working within her church. She did clerical work and was on the Ministry Team. She also loved to cook. She had tons of cookbooks, and very neat ideas for making ordinary things extraordinary. She also worked for several years in food service. Rebecca enjoyed reading, and taught herself to crochet. She was an excellent artist. She enjoyed watercolors and used to draw silly cartoon strips and send them to her siblings. She was a creative soul with a one-of-a-kind sense of humor.
Preceded in death by her Mother, Cynthia Lee (Clark) Lehmkuhl, twin brothers Matthew and Jeremiah, both Grandmothers, Priscilla Lehmkuhl and Jewel Clark, Grandfather Robert Clark.
Survivors include her father, Mark (Renee) Lehmkuhl; three sisters, Rachel Lehmkuhl of Gothenburg, NE, Lisa (Jesse) Dawes, Laura Morey; two brothers, Daniel Lehmkuhl, David Lehmkuhl; grandfather Bill Lehmkuhl of Gothenburg, along with aunts & uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Evangelical Free Church, October 19, 2019 at 10:00 am with Pastor Larry Viter and Dan Lehmkuhl officiating.
Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Willow Island, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers, Rebecca’s family would prefer a donation be made and mailed to Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th street, Gothenburg, NE 69138, to help offset expenses of services in their time of grief.
