Randy Callahan

Randy Lee Callahan, 65, of Gothenburg, NE, died November 5, 2023 in Gothenburg, NE. 

He was born February 3, 1958 in Gothenburg, NE, son of Bert and Carrie J. Callahan.

Randy was born in Gothenburg and raised in Brady, where he graduated from Brady High School in 1977. Randy worked for Dawson County Department of Roads for many years.

Randy made the best fried chicken,  he was a giant teddy bear and he always sat at the kids table at family dinners. His hugs were the most genuine. Randy was an avid Husker fan and Green Bay Packers fan,  he enjoyed fishing and his best friend was Bud his dog. He had multiple family and friends in Gothenburg and Brady he cared deeply for. 

Survivors include two sisters, Donna (Buddy) Anderson, Tammy Jo Callahan of Gothenburg, NE; daughter, Jakeh (Jake) White, their children, Allyson (Ashton) Riley, and son Milo of Cozad, NE; Gracie, Hunter, and Mossy White, of Gothenburg, NE; five nieces, Ann (George) Lambert of Cozad, NE, and their family, Jennifer (Derrick) Furse of Gothenburg, NE, and their family, Candy (Richard) McClain, of Curtis, NE; and their family, Cliff English of Gothenburg, NE; and his family, Cheri (Eddie) Mayers, of Gothenburg, NE; and their family, Angel (Robert) Dean, of Plattesmith, NE; and their family, and also a special friend Kristie McDonald.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Carrie, nieces, Angela English and Bridgette Anderson.

Private family services will be at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the family for later designation.
