Biography

Randy Brown, 67, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died December 16, 2014 at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in Gothenburg, NE.

He was born October 4, 1947 in Gothenburg, NE, son of Roy L. "Chet" and Lila "Peg" E. (Bennett) Brown.

Randy grew up in Gothenburg and lived his entire life in the Gothenburg area. He graduated from Gothenburg High with the class of 1965. He worked for Monroe Equipment and was a cross-country truck driver. He was a member of a car club, and enjoyed trucks, drag racing and Nascar.

Surviving are mother, Lila "Peg" E Brown, wife and 30 year friend, Nancy Parmenter of Gothenburg, NE; daughter, Michele (Brad) Lewis of Cambridge, NE; his 7 grandchildren - Trevor Fleischer of Lincoln, NE, Torey Fleisher and her daughter Ariel Fleischer of Lincoln, Ryann Lewis of Cambridge, Brady Lewis of Cambridge, Taylor Lewis of Cambridge, Jerrica Lewis of North Platte, and Taron Lewis of North Platte and many friends and extended family.

Randy was preceded in death by father, Roy Lee "Chet" Brown; James "Slugger" Parmenter; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Register book signing will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 9:00am-5:00pm at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th Street, Gothenburg, NE.
Graveside memorial services will be held at Gothenburg Cemetery, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.
