Paul "Bud" Leland Callahan, 82, of Farnam, Nebraska, died October 31, 2011 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, NE.
He was born February 23, 1929 South of Brule, NE, son of Fred and Molly (Connelly) Callahan.
Bud grew up in Lincoln County and attended school at Jeffery Queen. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Nona Harlene Craig on January 23, 1953 at Brady. To this union 6 children were born: Steve, Cathlene, Cindy, Patty, Kelli, and Maureen.
Bud was a farmer and rancher out in the South Hills. He enjoyed working in his garden and raising flowers.
Survivors include 4 daughters - Cathlene Callahan, Cindy Callahan, Patty Callahan, Maureen Callahan, all of Brady, NE; six granddaughters - Jacinta Meyer, Molly Miller, Caitlyn Castleberry, Holly Hansen, Lacey McGhee, Kesha Viter; two grandsons - Levi Nelson, Casey Miller; six great-grandsons Joseph Anderson, Cameron Meyer, Tremaine and Tristen McGhee, Hayden Anderson and Kellin Nelson, and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Nona Harlene Callahan in 2003, son, Steve Callahan, daughter Kelli; brothers, Bill., Pat, Fritz, Bert Callahan, sisters, Lilly Reutzel, Amy Lind, Irene Lind, Mary Thibodeaux, and his parents.
