Nancy Jacobsen

Nancy Jean (Tridle) Jacobsen was born May 2nd 1945 to Dale Wallace and Goldie Marie (Dowd) Tridle in Kimball Nebraska. She died February 13, 2018 in Akron Colorado at the age of 72.

She grew up in Kimball Nebraska and loved helping her father work on the farm. She was kind of a tomboy growing up and loved the farm life. She had four children, Joan Marie, Scott Allen, Kevin Lee, and Teddy Eugene Jr., who she loved dearly. She was an avid gardener when her kids were little and she canned everything from the garden. She had many jobs through the years but only two that she loved to talk about nursing and truck driving.

When her children were younger she was a nurse’s aide and her favorite place to help out was in surgery. Although she loved being in surgery her passion was driving truck, which she managed to do for over 30 years. She hauled cattle, fertilizer but most of the years were spent hauling grain. She had many different trucks throughout the years but her favorite was Miss Kitty. She loved to tell the stories of all her truck driving adventures. During her years as a truck driver she made many friends along the way. She also loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they loved having sleepovers at G-ma’s house. She also loved country music and to go dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister Sonia Marie Tridle.

She is survived by her daughter Joan (Tom) Keyes of rural Oshkosh NE, 3 sons Scott (Becky) Jacobsen of Akron CO, Kevin (Dixie) Frink of Maywood NE, and Teddy (Laura) Frink of Arapahoe NE. Eleven Grandchildren, Seventeen Great Grandchildren, One Great-Great Granddaughter and Many extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Maywood Christian Church, Monday, February 19, 2018, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Maywood Christian Church, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dale Heimer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Maywood Cemetery, Maywood, Nebraska.
