Monty White

Monty E White, 54, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died August 26, 2014 in Gothenburg, NE.

He was born July 7, 1960 in North Platte, NE, son of Dallas Eugene White and Nita Nadine (Claflin) Alvord.

Monty went to school in Gothenburg. He married Cindy Weisbrook on April 3, 1982 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan CO. Monty kept busy with many jobs thru the years. He loved the rural life and worked at the vet clinic, the sale barn, a feedlot cowboy, and Land O Lakes feed mill. He also worked as a cement worker, roofer, and oil rig plumber. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed riding horses, going to rodeos and was a retired bull rider. Spending time with his friends and family was very important to him.

He is survived by his Cindy White of Gothenburg, two sons, Jake (Jakeh) White and Chase (Shalene Winter) White all of Gothenburg; daughter, Jessie (Matt) McNally of Cozad; 10 grandchildren; father Dallas E. White of North Platte; sister, Cathy (Roger) Kennicutt of Gothenburg; two brothers, Steven Walker of Gothenburg, Dallas (Renee) White of North Platte; two brother-in-laws, Duane & Carma Weisbrook, Mark & Sarah Weisbrook; father & mother in law, Harold & Elaine Weisbrook all of Bushnell, NE; many nieces, nephew and extended family & friends.

Monty was preceded in death by mother, Nita Nadine Alvord; step-mother, Rose Mary White; grandparents Wayne & Faye Claflin, Leonard & Nola White.

Register book signing will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with the family present from 5-7.

Memorial Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Carol Mapa officiating.
