Melissa Sue (Hansen) Glass, 41, went to her Glory on May 21, 2014 at her home in Omaha.

She was born on November 8, 1972 in Gothenburg, NE to Dale and Rhonda Hansen. Melissa graduated from Brady High School in 1991. She was active in 4H, Band, Choir and the Zion Lutheran Youth Group. She graduated from Mid Plains Community College with a degree from the LPN nursing program in 1999. In 2012 she graduated from the IT Tech RN nursing program.
Melissa’s greatest love was her family and friends the girl never met a stranger. Melissa also had a great love for animals being the owner of three pugs and two cats. Melissa got her love for nursing helping her dad butcher beef and hogs on the family farm she would investigate every organ. She started candy striping at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital where she met another great influence in her nursing career, Kay Olmested she would later invited Kay to pin her at her ITT Tech graduation.
Melissa married Kevin Bodfield on October 3, 1992. They had six children. She later married Eddie Glass on Sept. 7, 2011 in Las Vegas.
She worked at the Callaway Hospital and the Broken Bow Clinic before moving to Omaha where she was employed at the Nebraska Donor recovery center. She was currently working at the Skyline Retirement Center in Omaha.
Melissa is survived by her Husband Eddie Glass of Omaha, her children Lance Bodfield of Gothenburg, Sonja (Eric) Johnson of Omaha, Johnathan (Heather) Bodfield of Gothenburg, Jacqueline (Josh) Bodfield of Omaha, Jacob Bodfield of North Platte, Jessica Bodfield of Omaha and four beautiful granddaughters Nevaeh, Paisley, Adelynn and Aubrey. Her parents Dale and Rhonda Hansen of Gothenburg, , Sisters Jacqueline Hansen of Maxwell, Nancy (Joe) James Iowa, Connie Hansen of Grand Island, Deb Hansen of Grand Island; Brothers John (Karen) Hansen of Grand Island, Wesley (Annie) Hansen of Lincoln. Grandmother Norma Scott of Gothenburg and many nieces and nephews and loving friends.

She is preceded in death her by Grandfather Walter Scott and Hans Hansen Grandmother Freda Foster and Evelyn Hansen two uncles JR and Ricky Scott.

Memorial Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Carol Mapa officiating.

Inurnment will take place in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the Family to be designated at a later time.
