August 13, 1957 — April 28, 2007

Matt Jobman, 49, of Gothenburg, NE died April 28, 2007 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Matthew Eric Jobman was born on August 13, 1957 to Lester and Francis (Block) Jobman at Gothenburg, NE. He graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1975 and then attended Hastings Community College earning a degree in Welding. On August 23, 1986 he married Charlotte Scott at the American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg, NE, to this union one daughter was born, Erica Lynn. Matt farmed and worked as a corn seed salesman for Pioneer Seedcorn. Matt was a member of the Lodge Brothers breakfast group and the American Lutheran Church were he sung in the choir and was a member of the Men's Choirs. He enjoyed camping, golfing, baseball, softball, and bowling. Matt was a great father who enjoyed spending time with his daughter Erica. Matt is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Charlotte "Scottie", daughter Erica Lynn, parents Lester and Francis Jobman, brother Terry (Nancy) Jobman and his children Andrew , David, and Erin all of Gothenburg, NE; sister Heidi Jobman of Chappell, NE and her son Chris Morris of Bozeman, Montana; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, niece Susan Elizabeth, father-in-law Norris Scott, and brother-in-law Roger Morris. Registrar Book will be available for signing 9:00 am -5:00 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, 11:00 AM at the American Lutheran Church, Gothenburg, Nebraska, with Pastor Matthew Groenke officiating. Burial will take place in the American Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Jobman Family, 41190 RD 769, Gothenburg, NE 69138.
