Margaret W. Buesing, 97, of Gothenburg, passed away on March 4, 2010 at Hilltop Estates, Gothenburg, NE.
She was born on May 21, 1912 to Chris and Ollie (Broer) Buss North of Cozad, NE. On February 28, 1928 she married George Buesing at Julesburg, CO. To this union two sons and two daughters were born.
She was baptized as one of the Jehovah's Witnesses in 1954. She opened her home for over 40 years for Bible Studies.
She was raised on a farm north of Cozad and attended school there. After marrying George she moved north of Gothenburg to a farm on Rock Island Table in Custer County. She moved to town in the early 1950's. She worked in many area cafes as a waitress. She also worked at the Gothenburg Hospital in the laundry department for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing and baking cinnamon rolls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Ollie Buss, husband George; infant son Kenneth, daughter Iona Eusler, brothers Ralph and Walter Buss, sister Freda Parsons, infant granddaughter and infant great granddaughter.
Survivors include: her son - Darrel (Lucy) Buesing of Gothenburg; daughter - Frances Junker of Gothenburg, brother - Art (Virginia) Buss of Cozad, seven grandchildren: Mike (Jeanne) Buesing, Matt (Angie) Buesing, Mark Buesing, Rod (Joy) Mitchell, Clifford Mitchell, Margo (Steve) Shanks, Monarae Payne; 21 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
