Malachi "Mack" W. Ryan, 80, of Gothenburg passed away on October 22, 2007 at Gothenburg.

Mack was born on June 17, 1927 at Merna , NE to John J. and Ellen M. (Mullen) Ryan. He grew up and attended school in Merna. After High School Mack entered the United States Army.

Mack married Inez "Bonnie" Adams on August 27, 1955. They made their home in various towns across NE and settled in Cozad before moving to Gothenburg. To this union one daughter was born Veronica. He worked as a farm and ranch hand throughout Nebraska . Mack enjoyed playing horse shoes and gardening.

He is survived by his three granddaughters Dawn Bartlett of Lincoln, Angie Drahota and her children Jack and Jesse of Ravenna, NE; Lisa (Gabe) and their sons Isaac and Adam Bartlett of North Platte , NE and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents, his Bonnie in 2006, daughter Veronica Gilbert, four brothers, Joe, Rich, Leo and John, four sisters Leona, Ellen, Sally, and Lucille.

Visitation will be held 5-8 pm, Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church Gothenburg, Nebraska

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, 1:30pm at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Gothenburg , Nebraska , with Father Donald O'Brien officiating.

Burial will take place in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery .

Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
