Lori (Fecht) Emken, 48, of Fairfield formerly of Gothenburg, died February 9, 2016 in Hastings, NE.

Lori was born October 26, 1967 in Omaha, NE, where she was adopted by Don and Bernadine (Rasmussen) Fecht.

Lori grew up in Gothenburg and attended Gothenburg High School graduating in 1986.  Following high school she attended College at LLCC in Lincoln. Lori then met the love of her life Russ Emken while in Lincoln and they were united in marriage on May 26, 1990. To this union one son Kolton was born.

Lori enjoyed cooking and crafting.  She enjoyed learning about the culinary's.  She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the companionship of her yorkie's Furgi and Bee.

She is survived by her husband Russ Emken of Fairfield, son Kolton Emken of Lincoln, two brothers, Hal (Kendra) Fecht, Tim Fecht both of Gothenburg, two brother-in-laws Dan Emken and  Les Emken both of Lincoln, step-father-in-law Jack Zimmerman of Lincoln, step brother-in-law Trev (Lori) Zimmerman of Gering, two step-sister-in-law Kim (Michael) Grunden of CA and Terry Zimmerman of CO; numerous nieces and nephews.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Don Bruce Fecht, mother, Bernadine Joy Fecht, and mother-in-law Cheryline Zimmerman.

Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel,Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:30 am with Pastor Robert Litzenberger officiating.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
