Lloyd William Gengenbach, 82, of Brady, NE, died on February 15, 2007 at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital. Lloyd was born to William F. é�a��A"Billé�a��? and Martha (Hueftle) Gengenbach on September 25, 1924 in Eustis, NE. He grew up and attended high school in Eustis. In 1941 the family moved south of Brady, NE.
On April 19, 1952 he married Delores Gamble in Sterling, CO. The couple lived in the Brady area where they farmed and ranched.
Lloyd was a Charter Member of the Brady Lion's Club, a member of the Brady Rural Fire Board, the Brady School Board, the American Lutheran Church Council, and the Lincoln County Feeder and Ranchers Assn.
Survivors include his wife Delores of Brady; one son William L. "Bill" Gengenbach of Brady; one daughter Nyla Jean (Steve) Fenster of Lincoln; one sister LaRue (Henry) Roether of Lexington. Numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Laura.
Memorial book signing will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg, NE.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2007, 10:30 a.m. at the American Lutheran Church, Gothenburg, NE, with Pastor Matthew Groenke and Lonna Grabenstein- Parish Ministry Associate, officiating. Burial of the cremains will be held at a later date at Floral Lawns Cemetery, North Platte, NE.
Memorials may be given to Central Plains Hospice (POB 108-Cozad, NE 69130), American Lutheran Church of Gothenburg (1512 Ave. G-Gothenburg, NE 69138), or the Brady Rural Fire Dept. (POB 31-Brady, NE 69123).
Arrangements are in the care of Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg.
