Linda D. Swanson, 59 of Gothenburg, NE passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at her home in Gothenburg. Linda Diane Swanson was born on January 22, 1948 at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Carl L. and Betty J. (Ragsdale) Butler. Linda grew up in through out the states of Nebraska and Kansas. After school she received her beautician certificate. Linda moved back to Gothenburg in 1980 and later opened her own salon. After she was forced to retire due to health reasons. Linda enjoyed spending time outdoors. She was especially found of the hills south of Gothenburg. The one thing that was most important to Linda was her family. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. She was always there to help when someone needed it. She is survived by one son Kevin Carl Casper of Loveland, Colorado; one daughter Deanne Renae Morton of Garland, Texas; her mother Betty Jo Butler of Gothenburg, Nebraska; three bothers Richard L. Butler of Wyle, Texas; Dennis G. Butler and Douglas W. Butler both of Gothenburg; one sister Cindy L. Johnson of Dallas, Texas and four grandchildren Brooke, Bailey, Dillon, and Dalton. She was preceded in death by her father Carl L. Butler and Sister Judy J. Butler.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 12, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Gothenburg with Pastor Tom Harris officiating.
