Leslie "Deac" Corwin Wills, 86, of Curtis, Nebraska, died January 4, 2012 at Madonna in Lincoln, NE.

He was born October 13, 1925 in Wellfleet, NE; son of Charleton Corwin and Martha May (Sypher) Wills.

He grew up in the Wellfleet and Maywood area. He attended school in Maywood graduating in 1943. He played football and worked in the creamery and grocery store. Deac also worked for the county road department while he lived by Stockville and farmed. He enjoyed working on cars in John Verson's Garage in Maywood. He also worked in Curtis at Hall Motors in the garage.

Deac married Fern M. Russell on November 26, 1952. They had a double wedding with best friends Hilda and Gus Wolgamott in Curtis Parsonage, Curtis, NE. To this union two daughters and two sons were born; Monte Marie, Sandra Lynn, Russell Corwin and Gary Merle.

In 1968 he left the garage and was the first custodian at Medicine Valley High School. He really enjoyed all the kids. He then left the High School to drive the bus for Maywood Schools for 10 years. He enjoyed going to ballgames, his kids, his grandkids, and his animals, sheep, dogs and cats. He was a volunteer fireman for over 25 years and a member of the United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Fern Marie Wills; daughters Monte (Val) Kotrous of Houston, TX; Sandy Wills of Curtis; sons Rusty (Shelly) Wills and Gary (Vivian) Wills both of Curtis; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deac was preceded in death by his parents two sisters Irene Parker and Ella Mae Worley; in-laws Benjamin and Ellen Russell, his cousins Blanch Gardner, Doris Klein, Lily Hunt, and Edith Temple.
