LaVon "Bonnie" O. Fattig-McClintock, 95, of Brady departed this life in Cozad, NE on August 3, 2021.
LaVon Olaf (Bonnie) was born July 20, 1926 on her paternal grandparents homestead south of Trenton, NE. She was born to Emil L. and Leo Marie (Applebee) Marquardt. When Bonnie was 4 years old her mother died and left a loving husband and 4 small children.
On February 14, 1942 she married Donald (Vic) Fattig in Lebanon, MO. To this union four children were born: Donald Dean, William Dale, Robert Lee and Patricia Ann.
Bonnie moved to Brady, NE while Vic was overseas during World War II. They moved to the farm in 1960 south of Brady, NE where they raised their family, farmed and managed a simmental cow calf operation. They traveled to Calgary, Alberta Canada to attend the National Simmental Association Exposition. Vic passed away in 2000 and Bonnie moved into Brady, NE. She was a member of the Brady Beauties Red hats. Bonnie remarried Warren McClintock in 2008. They lived in North Platte and enjoyed many trips and cruises with his family. When Warren passed away in 2015 she moved to Brady, NE.
Preceded in death by her parents, husbands; son Donald Dean; Brothers Dors (Eris) Marquardt, Dean (Patricia) Marquardt; sister Evelyn (Earl) Gulzow.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Penny) Fattig of Gothenburg, Bob (Marla) Fattig of Brady; daughter, Pat (Rod) Rayburn of Brady; nine grandchildren Mike, Melissa, Michelle, Stacey, Vic,Robert, Mary, Matt and Lane, 16-great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Stepchildren Duane (Sue) McClintock of Wallace, NE, Ranae (Ron) Doyle of Lees Summit, MO, Janice (Mike) O'Brien of Wallace, NE, Karma (Tony) Dorn of Minden, NE., and numerous step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021; 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM ,at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, NE with family present 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
Services will be held Monday, August 9, 2021, 10:00 AM, Brady United Methodist Church, Brady, NE with Pastors Bonnie Brock and Janie Freeman officiating.
Interment will follow at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE.
Memorials may be given to the Brady Fire Department or Brady United Methodist Church.
