Kyle Adam Johnston, 27, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died June 17, 2010 in Gothenburg, NE.
Kyle was born July 31, 1982 in North Platte, NE the second son of Kenneth Bruce Sr. and Lori Ann (Nelson) Johnston.
He grew up in North Platte and Ft Morgan, CO; and later moved to Gothenburg at the age of fifteen. He attended schools in North Platte and Gothenburg before earning his GED and High School Diploma from the Pine Ridge Job Corps Center in Chadron, NE.
Kyle worked in Gothenburg as cook, was construction worker for Right Angle Construction and for Monsanto. As a kid, he enjoyed soccer, football and golf. He was an all weather fisherman and goose and duck hunter. He played Texas Hold'em in the Donkeys Unlimited Circuit. Kyle enjoyed Frisbee golf, singing, dancing, music, and video games. He enjoyed cracking jokes and being with his friends and family 24/7. He was especially looking forward to becoming a father later this year.
Surviving are his father, Kenneth Bruce Johnston Sr. of North Platte; mother, Lori Ann Edwards of Lexington; brother, Kenneth Bruce Johnston Jr., sister, Amber Rose Johnston and boyfriend Jason Block; girlfriend, Heidi Renee' Schultz and their expected child to be; nephew, James Elliott Swanson all of Gothenburg; grandmother Dorothy Johnston of North Platte; grandfather, Glenn Nelson, Sr. and wife Berta of Gering, NE; uncles, Glenn Nelson, Jr. and wife Loretta of Wakefield, KS; Mark Nelson of Lincoln; Brad Nelson of Sutherland; aunts Lisa Nelson of Wakefield, KS; Ronda Rosenau and Husband Tom of Hastings; Debora Johnston of North Platte; cousins Chad, Christopher and Corey Nelson all of Wakefield, KS; Dawn and Christopher Horn, Dominique and Shakira, and Christopher, Jr. all of Hastings; Kent and Gina Lindenmuth; Austyn Lindenmuth all of Deshler; Cynthia Johnston of North Platte; and a host of friends.
Kyle was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beverly Nelson; Uncles Raymond and Russell Johnston; cousins, Dianna and Eric Lindenmuth and Grandfather Ronald Johnston.
