Kathy Griffis

Katharine "Kathy" K. Griffis, 42, of Gothenburg died June 21, 2007 at Gothenburg.

Kathy was born September 24, 1964 at Gothenburg, NE to Garland T. and Velma (Neeman) Underwood. She grew up in Gothenburg and attended Gothenburg Public Schools. Kathy resided in Gothenburg most of her life. She married Randy Griffis on July 21, 1995.

Kathy was a manager of Timesaver in Gothenburg and a Cub Scout Leader of Pack 177 for 5 years. Kathy's special interest included: camping, fishing, mud races, stock-car races, and mostly spending time with family and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by father Garland T. Underwood and her grandparents.

Survivors include: Her husband, Randy Griffis; son Jeremy Vollbrecht; daughter Jessica Vollbrecht; her Mother, Velma Underwood all of Gothenburg. 4 brothers: Richard (Chris Earney); Garland (Clare) both of Gothenburg; Randy (Tracy) of North Platte; Stanley (Jeri) of Lexington; a sister Lolita (Hobart Jr) Watts of Kearney, Donna Stuck, Powell, WY. 6 grandchildren. Aunts & Uncles, Neices & Nephews, Great Neices & Nephews and many cousins and beloved friends.

Vistitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 24 and from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm on Monday, June 25 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, June 25 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel

Burial will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery.

Memorial may be directed to Central Plains Hospice or Donors Choice.
