Kathryn Evangeline Aden, 87, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg.
Kathryn was born March 17, 1924 at Brady, NE to Paul and Martha (Lindberg) Larson, one of six children. She was united in marriage to Don H. Aden on March 23, 1945 in Starke, Florida. They returned to Gothenburg and to this union three children were born - Yancey, Todd, and Lexi. Kathryn and her husband moved to Eugene, OR in 1959 and returned to Nebraska living in Grand Island and Grant before settling back home in Gothenburg in 1961. Kathryn worked for Haley Chevrolet, Larson Motors, Simon Motors, and finally Pony Express Chevrolet until her retirement.
Kathryn was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family and friends, the church choir, Awana and MOPS. She also like to make porcelain dolls, sewing and reading. She especially loved hours of fun and laughter with her sister and best friend Annabelle.
Survivors include her two sons - Todd (Shannon) Aden of Gothenburg, NE; Yancey (Nancy) Aden of Lexington, NE; daughter - Lexi (Monte) Kratzenstein of Kearney, NE; seven grandchildren - Casey (Tricia) Aden of Baltimore, MD; Dr. Brandon Aden of New York City, NY; Danielle (Dustin) Zeigler of Gretna, NE; Zach Aden of Gothenburg, NE; Alex Aden of Omaha, NE; Josie Kratzenstein of Kearney, NE; Jace Kratzenstein of Kearney, NE; two great grandsons: Dominic Aden of Baltimore, MD and Grant Zeigler of Gretna; NE; two sisters - Annabelle Holmes of Gothenburg, NE; Barbara (Mervin) Titchen of North Platte, NE; two sisters-in-law - Jenelle Larson of Gothenburg, NE; Bobbie Larson of Gothenburg, NE; along with many wonderful nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Kathryn was preceded in death by husband, Don Aden in 1985, her parents, three brothers Jim, Bernie, and Raymond Larson, sister-in-law, Ellen Larson, brother-in-law, Jim Holmes.
