Karen Johnson

Karen Sue Johnson, 73, of Gothenburg, NE, died May 24, 2022 in Omaha, NE.

She was born in Cozad on October 26, 1948 daughter of Richard and Francis (West) Warren.  She graduated from Cozad High School in 1967.  Following high school she attended Business School in Grand Island.  She married Lonnie Johnson on Nov. 15, 1969.

Karen loved to crochet, knit, watching NASCAR, and enjoyed all of her animals. The one thing she loved most of all though was being around her family and friends. Karen was a big fan of the Kentucky Derby and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Survivors include daughter, Karma Bohlen of Gothenburg; son, Wyatt Johnson of Gothenburg; two granddaughters, Michaela Schatz and Isabella Johnson both of Gothenburg; a great grandchild Lakayla Schatz, sister Luanne (Bob) Youngberg of Lincoln and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie, her parents and twin sister Sharon Kay.

Graveside services will be held at the Gothenburg Cemetery, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 10:00 am with Doug Viter officiating.
