Judith M. Davis, 69, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died March 17, 2018 in Norfolk, NE.
She was born February 3, 1949 in Burton-on-Trent, England, daughter of Aurthur Price and Marian Hardwick.
Judith grew up in Swadlincote, England and attended Sir William Alitt High School. She later graduated from Mid-Plains School of Nursing. She lived in England and Germany before making her home in Gothenburg. Judi married Harold Davis on May 18, 1973 at Burton-On-Trent, England. They had two daughters - Andrea and Adrienne. Judi worked as a nurse for many years at Gothenburg Hospital and Cozad Hospital. She loved spending time with her family and friends; especially the Thursday's Girls Club. She enjoyed traveling, knitting and flower arranging. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Judi was best described as an "Angel on Earth". She kissed and embraced everyone she came in contact with. She was "Auntie Judi" to so many children. She was the most caring and compassionate nurse you could receive. Her ready laugh and soft English accent was endearing and timeless. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. If you knew her, you loved her.
Survivors include her husband Harold Davis of Gothenburg, two daughters, Adrienne (Michael) Thomalla of Gothenburg, NE, Andrea (Bobby) Kelley of Cedar Rapids, IA; five grandchildren - Cameron, Shannon, Luke, Caleb and Halsey; three brothers, Stephen (Marilyn) Price, Adrian (Janet) Hardwick, Nicholas Hardwick; two sisters, Susan (Barrie) Jones, Delia (Rob) Dubry; along with extended family. Judi treasured her many special friends including Ethel Hull, Leona Cummins, Peggy Yancy, Tammy McMichael, Shannon Aden, Jane Jareske, Shirley Heidebrink, Trudy Else, and so many others.
Judith was preceded in death by father, Aurthur Price; mother, Marian (George) Hardwick, brothers, Paul Hardwick and Anthony Price, sisters, Betty Edge and Joan Cali, and Ken Hodgkinson.
Memorial Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Friday, March 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jamie Norwich McLennan officiating.
In lieu of Flowers , memorials may be designated to the Judi Davis Memorial Nursing Scholarship and may be sent to 1011 22nd street, Gothenburg, NE 69138.
