Joycelyn L. Bridges, 77, of Gothenburg, died on March 26, 2008 at Gothenburg.

Joycelyn Lee was born on January 27, 1931 to Walter & Opal (Rutner) Doering at Maxwell, NE. She lived with her family at Maxwell and attended school there until she was 12 years old and they moved to California. She graduated from Oakland High school in California.

Joycelyn married Robert Bridges in 1974 at Reno, NV. She worked at International Harvester in CA as a Key Punch Operator and in the Payroll offices of Anheuser-Busch.

Joycelyn is survived by her two sons: Alan (Kim) Nielsen and Ryan Nielsen all of Gothenburg; two daughters: Susan Meyers of St. Louis MO, Joyce Kahue of Napa CA; three sisters: Darlene Walker of Sacramento, CA; Marilyn (George) Gale and Bobbie Province both of Gothenburg, NE. Six grandchildren and four great-grand children. A niece Shelli Costa of Fair Oaks, CA; two nephews Brad Walker of Salinas, CA and Duran Freese of Farnam, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter-in-law Barb Nielsen and a brother-in-law Wiley Walker.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, March 31, 2008 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE. Pastor Jim Reier will be officiating.

Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Hospice.
