Joyce Kuhlman, 57, of Gothenburg, NE, passed away April 12, 2017 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha and went to live with God.
Joy was born October 21, 1959 in St Paul, MN. She grew up in N St. Paul for the first 13 years, then her family moved to Gothenburg, NE for the next 2 years. She then moved to Jeffrey Lake with her mom and step dad. She graduated from Brady High School in 1977. She was married twice and to these unions, three children were born. She worked at Country Estates in Cozad for a number of years. She loved to cook, garden and had a great sense of humor. Joy's family always came first, she loved her family with all of her heart. She never met a stranger she would visit with anyone. They all have memories that even death cannot take away.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Haugen, brother Randy Haugen, step-brother Dave Middleton, step-dad Sumner Middleton, and her grandparents Murl and Helen Swayze.
Survivors include her two sons; Nick (Sonya) Sitorius and Jake Sitorius; daughter Sonie Kuhlman; grandchildren : Aspen, Jadyn, Nathan, Quenton, Kaitlyn, and Natalie; mother, Beverly Middleton, brother, Brian Haugen, sister, Sandy Bennett, step-brother, Steve (Katherine) Middleton, step-sister, Cathy (Chuck) Russo, step-sister-in-law Deb Middleton; special friend Randy Callahan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at American Lutheran Church, April 19, 2017 at 10:30 am with Pastor Jon Mapa officiating.
Inurnment will follow in the Peckham Cemetery, Gothenburg, NE.
