John Ralston

Biography

John Edward Ralston was born on Feb. 12, 1945 to George and Frances (Murray) Ralston in Curtis, NE. He attended School at Stockville Graduating from Stockville Public Schools in 1963. John married Janie Werkmeister on June 17, 1967 at the Methodist Church in Maywood. To this union two children were born Shelli and Mike. John's passion was driving truck which he did for 36 years. He drove truck for Wynne Transport for the past 14 years. His true passions though, were his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them. He also enjoyed hunting with children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife of 40 years Janie of Maywood; his mother Frances Ralston of Curtis; daughter Shelli McPeek (Jamie) of Loves Park, IL; son Mike Ralston (Angie) of Papillion, NE; five grandkids Amelia, Seth, Jacob, Emma and Camden; two brothers Kenny Ralston (Kathy) of McCook and Lee Ralston (Debbie) of North Platte; three sisters Alice Hinton (Jack) of Thornton, CO; Connie Starck (Jim) of Lincoln, NE and Linda Monte (Tony) of Littleton, CO. He is preceded in death by his father George Ralston. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Maywood Cemetery with Pastor Dale Heimer officiating.
