Jeremy Sundquist

Jeremy Mark Sundquist, 42, of  Hubbard, NE, formerly of Curtis, NE, died December 26, 2020, at his home.
Jeremy was born March 14, 1978 in North Platte, NE, to Jerry and LaDonna (Vreeland) Sundquist.  He grew up in Curtis and attended Medicine Valley High School graduating in 1996.  In 1998 he graduated from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE.  After college he lived in Valley, NE; Tennessee, Texas and resided in Hubbard, NE until his passing.

Jeremy married Cody Steckel on December 12th, 1998 at Taylor, Nebraska. To this union, their son, Cole was born. They later divorced.

On March 17th, 2011 Gracie was born to Shey Strawder and Jeremy.

Jeremy had a passion for agriculture, Nebraska football, religion, his career, rodeo, fishing, and golf.  Jeremy worked in many industries throughout his life. These included insurance sales, real estate, railroad and as a Supervisor at IBP Meat packing plant.

Survivors include his son, Cole Sundquist of Wellfleet; daughter, Gracie Sundquist of Wallace, NE ; his parents Jerry and LaDonna Sundquist of Curtis, Brother,  Mike (Vickie) Sundquist of Lincoln; Sister, Michelle (Jim) Hackney of Firestone, CO; Nephew, Alec Hackney; Niece, Alise Hackney; Nephew, Tyler Sundquist; aunts and uncles and numerous cousins and extended family.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nelson Eugene and Mary Lou (Florom) Vreeland; Miflord and Bessie (Sprague) Sundquist; an uncle Greg Vreeland; and aunt Deborah Vreeland.

Jeremy's dad, Jerry, passed away September 27th, 2022. A Joint Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Curtis, Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:00 am with Pastor Tim McCrary officiating.

Memorials may be sent to the family as a memorial will be established in Jeremy's name.
