Jeremy Bartels

Jeremy Michael Bartels, 36, of Brady, NE,was born June 4, 1979 in Scottsbluff, NE, and passed away unexpectedly at his home in Brady, NE on Oct 21, 2015. He was a graduate of the Brady High School class of 1997. Jeremy was united in marriage to Becky Stevens on August 8, 2008 at her parents home north of Brady.To this union two daughters were born, Harley, 10, and Preslee, 8. His girls were the light of his life. His whole family was very important to him.

Jeremy worked as a ranch hand in Colorado and Nebraska and also as a cook at Shore's and Shelle's Place. Most recently he worked for Peterson's well drilling. He was a lifetime member of the North American Fishing Club. He enjoyed grilling and cooking, fishing, camping, playing board games with his family, watching TV, gardening and canning.He also enjoyed country cruising, always "looking for a new road to travel."

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Gerald Brown, niece Leyha Bartels and his great-grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Becky, daughters Harley and Preslee, mother Kathy Hoffman, father Mike Bartels, step-dad Ron Hoffman; brother Jason Bartels; sisters Jill Miller ( Jeremy Sundquist) and Angel Hoffman, grandma Velma Jean Brown, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Monday, October 26, 2015,1:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the family present from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Services will be held at Brady Community Bible Church, October 27, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Litzenberger officiating.

Interment will follow in the Gaslin Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to a savings account at Gothenburg State Bank for his daughters Harley and Preslee.
