James Dean Haswell, 67, of Boise ID, passed away on July 4, 2009 at Boise, ID.

He was born on March 1, 1942 to James "Russell" and Margaret (Whipple) Haswell at Arnold, NE. He attended school in Nebraska and Commerce City, CO.

Jim lived in Callaway and North Platte. He joined the Navy and was stationed on the USS Hornet. He worked in construction in Alaska. He worked at Leo's Flowers in North Platte. He managed a rodeo in Idaho with his brother Allen. He enjoyed working with his hands.

Jim is survived by his loving spouse Judy of Boise, ID, his mother Margaret Haswell-Jersin of Gothenburg, NE; brothers - Ivan "Levi" Haswell of Bellville, KS, Leslie "Bud" Haswell of North Platte, NE; Allen Haswell of Idaho City, ID; sister - Peggy Mathes of Indian Mound, TN, Annettie Haswell of Gothenburg, NE, Laurie Kay Ratterree of Florissant, CO; daughters - Jamie of Eugene, OR, Angie of Boise, ID, Beth Ann of Boise, ID; and 6 grandchildren and many other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father James Russell Haswell, sister, Linda Haswell, uncle, Carl Whipple, aunt, Bethel Whipple Willis, uncle, Eugene "Jr" Whipple.

A memorial service was held in Idaho on July 11, 2009 and a private family memorial service will be held at a later gathering in July.
