Irene Dubry

Biography

Irene B. DuBry, 82 of Gothenburg passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Golden Living Center in Cozad, NE.

Irene was born on July 17, 1924 at Gothenburg, NE to Homer & Althea (Wright) Dishman. Irene grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska and at Gothenburg. She graduated from Gothenburg high school. Irene was married to Lyle DuBry on August 10, 1945 in Cheyenne, WY. After graduating, she lived in Wyoming until in the late 1970's when she returned to Gothenburg. Irene especially loved her family, gardening and flowers.

Preceeded in death by her parents Homer & Althea Dishman, brother Albert Dishman; Sisters Maire Lindblad and Elsie Arnet; a son William; three grandchildren and two great grand children.

Survivors include: her son Steve (Robin) of Casper, WY; her Daughter Viola (Nelson) Bonson of Gothenburg; 5 Brothers: Harold of Laramie; Virgil (Lil) of Council Bluff; Bill (Jean), David, Al (Linda) all of Gothenburg; 3 sisters: Bertha Poen of Gothenburg, Violet (Charles) Mladek of Cozad, Lucy (Dick) Sabin of Lexington. 17 grandchildren. 44 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007, from 10 am until 8 pm at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg, NE.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 10 am at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.

Burial will take place in the Gothenburg Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Hospice.
