Herbert Linsday

Herbert Edward Linsday, 67, died on April 15, 2008 at his home at Jeffery Lake, south of Brady, after a short illness.


Herb was born on July 7, 1940 at Sacramento, CA to James and Dorothy (Fimmen) Linsday. Herb grew up in the Los Angeles, CA area and attended high school at Venice High. He entered the Marine Corps at age 16 and served from December 26, 1956 to December 10, 1959. He later earned his GED and attended Glendale Community College. Herb lived in southern California until moving to Jeffery Lake south of Brady, NE in July 2003.


Herb married Helen Kay Healey on September 28, 1985 at the Brentwood Presbyterian Church in Brentwood, CA. Herb worked as a contractor and owned é�a��A"Foundations to Cabinets.é�a��? He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and traveling--especially cruises.


Herb is survived by his loving wife Kay of Brady, his mother Dorothy of Los Angeles, CA; 2 sons: Ronald of San Diego, CA; Edward of Fredericksburg, VA; a daughter Margaret Morgan Mason of Gothenburg; 4 brothers: James of Liberty Hill, TX; Michael of Templeton, CA; David of Los Angeles, CA; and John of St. Louis, MO; 3 sisters: Veronica Lemmi of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Patricia Woodman of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; and Dorothy Fritch of Seattle, WA; a grandson Shayne Mason; step children: Terry Wehnes of Evergreen, CO; Edie Patton of Hanthorn, CA; and Robert Wehnes of Gothenburg, NE.


Herb was preceded in death by his father James, a sister Mary Turrentine, and a granddaughter Bella Nicole Fisher.


Private Family visitation will be held in Gothenburg with cremation to follow. Memorial Services will be held in California at a later date Memorials are suggested to donoré�a��a��s choice and may be sent to Kay Linsday, 78 Pelican Dr, Brady, NE 69123.
