Helen Glaze

Helen "June" Glaze, 79, of Maywood passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, NE. Helen June Glaze was born on June 25, 1927 to P.R. and Vera (Shirley) White at Maywood, NE. She grew up and attended school in Maywood graduation from High School in 1945. She married Allen Glaze on May 23, 1945 at Oberlin, KS. To this union two children were born Gary and JoAnn. June worked at Shirley's Store and then went to work as secretary at the Maywood Public Schools. She was active in bridge club, Baseball Mama's, Cub Scout Den Mother and secretary at the Maywood Methodist Church. June is survived by her son Gary (Connie) Glaze of Lexington, NE; her daughter JoAnn ( Jim) Goss of Bayrd, NE; three granddaughters: Kim (Goss) Foutz, Melissa (Glaze) Glen and Jessica (Glaze) Cannady; two great-grand children Madi Foutz and Aiden Cannedy; four sisters: Shirley (Ken) Hammel of Clarian, IA; Twila (Jim) Hand of North Platte, NE; Sharon (Ray) Mullen of Maywood, NE; and Phyllis (Delbert) Prindle of Hastings, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen and two brothers Willard and Dick White. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Curtis from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at the Maywood Cemetery at 11:00 on Monday, March 19, 2007. Memorials may be directed to the Maywood Community Hall, the Maywood Cemetery or the Frontier County Ambulance.
