Harvey Vernon Cole, 88, of Curtis, Nebraska, died March 25, 2021 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.
Harvey was born March 29, 1932 in Curtis, NE, son of Hazen and Bessie (Gilliland) Cole. Harvey was a lifetime resident of Curtis.
Harvey married Yvonne Sears on June 27, 1951 in Curtis, NE and too this union three children were born; Roy Rex and Beth. Yvonne passed away in 2001.
On May 1, 2006 Harvey married Audrey (Hupf) Bryant and enjoyed many wonderful years together until she passed on Oct. 17, 2020.
Harvey was a 4-H Leader, belonged to the Curtis Roping Club and had served on the School Board. He was a member of the Extension Board, 4-H Council, NE Hereford Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. Harvey enjoyed anything to do with family and friends, horses and cattle and loved attending the kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren's ball games and any rodeos.
He is survived by his sons Roy (Judy) Cole and Rex Cole of Curtis; daughter, Beth (Larry Fletcher) of Kearney; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, brother, Hazen Cole, Jr.; sister, Norma (Bill) Bryant; Audrey's children Jerry (Chris) Bryant of Lincoln, Steven (Cathy) Bryant of McCook, and Barbara (Michael) Esch of McCook; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents Hazen and Bessie Cole, wives, Yvonne Cole and Audrey Cole,sisters-in-law Carolyn Cole and Barbara Dillman, brothers-in-law Gerald Dillman and Dennis Sears.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Curtis, Nebraska; Tuesday, March 30, 2021, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Services will be held at Curtis Memorial Community Center, March 31, 2021 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Randy Bartelt officiating.
Burial will follow in the Curtis Cemetery, Curtis, Nebraska.
Memorials may be given to the Curtis Memorial Community Center or Curtis Easter Pageant.
