Harold Frank Hesseltine, 80, of Curtis, NE, died May 10, 2011 at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in Gothenburg, NE.
He was born November 28, 1930 in Pueblo, CO, to Donald Charles and Melva Lucille (Bates) Hesseltine.
He graduated from the Nebraska School of Agriculture at Curtis in 1948 and went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1952. He worked for Hot Point Division of General Electric in Chicago, IL, as an accountant, and later as facility manager at Louisville, KY, until 1971. In June of 1971 he moved to Curtis and worked at the City Office and was custodian at the Methodist Church and also at the high school for a number of years.
For many years, he helped care for his mother and father until their deaths. Harold lived at Sunset Haven Nursing Home in Curtis from 1989 until it closed. He then moved to Senior Living Choices where he lived until his death. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Curtis.
Surviving are sister-in-law, Rogene (Thomas) Silletto of Lincoln; two nephews Lee (Barb) Hesseltine of Aurora, CO; Karl (Sheryl) Hesseltine of Adams, NE; niece Karen (Jon) Jabens of Omaha, NE; four great nephews and three great nieces.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard.
