Gus Lawrence Paul Thompson, two days, of Gothenburg, NE, passed away on October 8, 2016 at Gothenburg Health in Gothenburg, NE due to a Congenital Heart Defect.
Gus was born October 6, 2016 in North Platte, NE, son of Derek and Jessa (Ehlers) Thompson. Gus was loved by his big brother Gunner, who held and loved on him for the short time he was with us.
Survivors include his parents Derek & Jessa Thompson of Gothenburg, his brother Gunner of Gothenburg, grandparents Ernest Jr & Jennie Rodriguez of Gothenburg; grandparents Darren & Patty Thompson of Cotesfield, NE; great grandmothers LaVon Reinke of Hebron, NE, and Jean Ehlers of Minden, NE, his uncles Dustin (Jordan) Ehlers and Dane Ehlers of Gothenburg, aunts Dodi (Brad) Ouderkirk of Grand Island; Kelli (Emmett) Stout of North Platte; Alexzandria Rodriguez of Overton; cousins - Devin, KaySee, Katelyn, Macey, Evelyn, Braden, Liberty, Brynleigh, Brantley and Jack.
Gus was preceded in death by grandpa Steve Ehlers; great grandparents -William & Evelyn Little, Lawrence Reinke, Don Ehlers and Don & Shirley Thompson.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Thursday, October 13, 2016, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with the family present.
Funeral Services will be held at American Lutheran Church, Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:30 am with Pastor Jon Mapa officiating.
Burial will follow in the American Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in his name to be decided at a later date.
