Glenn Kuhlman, 76, of Hillrose, CO, died October 26, 2014 in Brush.
Glenn was born May 17, 1938 in Gothenburg, NE to John "Jack" and Lillian (Block) Kuhlman.
Glenn grew up on a farm and attended country school and later attended school in Gothenburg graduating from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1956. Glenn was in the Air Force from 1957 to 1961 and served at the Castle Air Force Base and the Beal Air Force Base in California. Glenn married Gail Fenton at the American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg and they had two sons - Kevin & Kip. Glenn was an entrepreneur and owed several businesses thru the years including some motels, restaurants and a carpet store. Glenn was an avid flyer and owned several planes and restored one of the Japanese Zero planes from the movie Tora,Tora,Tora. He was a member of the Commemorative Air Force and the Brush Moose Lodge. He enjoyed traveling,loved the ocean and beach, mountains, and deep sea fishing. Glenn was a good story teller and was a big Denver Broncos fan. Glenn always felt fortunate for the successes in business and the travels he had for being a farm boy from Nebraska.
He is survived by two sons Kevin (Lisa) Kuhlman of Ridgefield, WA and Kip Kuhlman, brother Vern (Sherry) Kuhlman of Colorado Springs, CO, sisters LoyAnn (Bob) Rossel of Lincoln, NE and Connie (Dave) Davidson of McCook, NE, two grandchildren Corey John and Breanna Lea, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dale.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Friday, October 31, 2014, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the family present from 5-7pm.
Services will be held at the American Lutheran Church, November 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jon Mapa officiating.
Burial will follow in the American Lutheran "Christ" Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.
