George G. Hueftle, 65, of Brady, Nebraska died March 20, 2007, at Brady, Nebraska.

George was born December 5, 1941 to Earl and Almina (Francis) Hueftle at Eustis, NE. He spent his childhood in Eustis and graduated from Eustis High School in 1960.

He married Yvonne Anderson on October 20, 1963 at Gothenburg, NE, and spent his married life in Brady. George was a farmer/rancher and had retired from the U.S. Postal System as a Rural Mail Carrier.

He was active as a Scout leader, Brady Volunteer Fire Dept, Assistant Basketball coach, Referee for high school & college basketball and football; EMT; Brady School Board Member; a member of Church of Christ & past Deacon. George especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports still playing city league basketball. Most important to George, He was a Grandpa and Father to all.

George is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Yvonne Hueftle of Brady, NE; Son Monte and Fiance JoAnn of North Platte, NE; Daughter-in-Law Heidi Barrett; 4 grandchildren Cain, Eli, Aidan, and Caitlin Hueftle; Sisters-in-Law: Dorene Hoffman, McCook, NE; Janice (Dick) Sprague of North Platte, Carolyn Anderson of Mesa, AZ; Brothers-in-Law: Tom Losey, Republican City, NE; Corky Hayes; Kent (Pat) Anderson, Roger (Sandy) Anderson both of Brady, Lyle McCarter of North Platte; numerous Nieces and Nephews, cousins and special friend Johnny Rupe of Holdrege, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Brad; brother Arlus; sisters Cleo Losey, Gwen Johnson, and Carol Hueftle.

Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Brady High School Gymnasium at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Gaslin Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
