Florence Meredith

Florence  Meredith, 94, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died November 14, 2019 in Gothenburg, NE.

She was born September 4, 1925 in Maxwell, NE, daughter of John and Augusta (Hillman) Effenbeck. She graduated from Maxwell High.  Florence was always a busy mother; raising her son Dennis.  She worked for Schweiser's in North Platte for many years.  Later she worked at Gibson's.  She enjoyed crosswords, puzzles and sewing.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Kenny, Emil, Martin, Edgar, Paul, Walter, John and Ludwig; and six sisters, Bertha, Bessie, Margaret, Martha, Marie and Harriet; her great grandson Wyatt Colby Meredith.

Surviving are son, Dennis (Deb) Meredith of Gothenburg, NE; grandchildren Rebecca Blake and Shawn (Amie) Meredith; great grandchildren Keisha (Stephen) Wehtje, Grace Blake, Meredith Blake, Connor Meredith, Memphis Meredith, and Remington Meredith; extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Sunday, November 17, 2019, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, November 18, 2019 at 10:30 am with Rev. Jeff Cottingham officiating.

Interment will follow in the Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, North Platte, Nebraska.

Memorials may be made in Florence's memory to be used for great-grandchildren's education
