Evelyn Aden, 92, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died January 19, 2015 in Gothenburg, NE.
She was born February 17, 1922 in Gothenburg, NE, daughter of Martin G and Hulda (Ludwig) Block.
Evelyn grew up in Gothenburg and attended school in Gothenbug. She married Alfred Gerd Aden on September 1, 1937 at Warrensburg, MO; to this union three children were born - Betty, Larry and Tim. She spent a lifetime as a busy farm wife, helping her husband with farming, gardening and raising her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and quilting. She enjoyed sports and bowling.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Marvin) Harms of Culbertson; sons, Larry Aden and Tim (Cordi) Aden both of Gothenburg, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren along with many extended family and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by husband, Alfred Gerd Aden, brother, Milan (Bernice) Block, grandson Alan Harms, and her parents.
Visitation will be held at the American Lutheran Church, 1512 Ave G, Gothenburg, NE; Thursday, January 22, 2015, 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm. with the family present from 4-6.
Funeral services will be held at American Lutheran Church, Friday, January 23, 2015 at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow in the American Lutheran "Christ" Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.
