Emersyn Reva Lamphiear, 6 months old, passed away on November 20, 2023 at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE in her parents’ arms. Emersyn was born on May 7th, 2023 in Elkhorn NE, to the proud parents of Grady and Kallie Lamphiear. She was born 3 months early, weighing 1 lb. 6/10 of an ounce, but was ready to show the world just how determined, strong, sweet, courageous, loved, and happy she could be. There was never a day that went by that Emersyn didn’t light up the room and lift those up around her.
In Emersyn's short life, she accomplished more things than we could have imagined. She spent 8 days extubated, had laser eye surgery, a G button, and tracheostomy surgery. It was her mission to prove the doctors and nurses wrong, and show them just how much she could handle. If you were fortunate enough to take care of her, love her, snuggle her, meet her, or follow her story you may know some of her favorite things. She loved seeing or hearing her Mom and Dad walk into her room. She also loved listening to her Dad read books to her while being rocked or held by her Mom, listening to music, sitting in her Boppy while watching her mobile, sitting in her swing, spa days, and catching up on all the work or nurse gossip. Her favorite books were Goodnight Moon, Barnyard Dance, Giraffes Can't Dance, and If I Were a Giraffe. Even in her hardest days, Emersyn somehow knew how to lift others up and bring a smile to everyone's faces.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Methodist Church in Curtis, NE with Pastor Brian Nicklas officiating.
