Eldon “Butch” LeRoy Zysset, 79, of Farnam, Nebraska died January 25, 2022, with his wife by his side, at home in Farnam, NE.
He was born March 31, 1942, south of Elwood, NE to parents Jess and Dorthy (Meyer) Zysset. He was the older brother of Dale and Janita. His family moved to the Family farm southeast of Farnam.
Butch graduated with the Class of 1960 from Farnam High School.
On August 6, 1961, Butch married the love of his life Irene (Franzen) and enjoyed sixty wonderful years together. To this union, they welcomed six children: Lori, Glen, Wayne, Jeff, Kathy, and Brenda. Throughout the years, Butch was a Farmer, Self Employed under EZ Construction and a Handyman. He enjoyed playing cards, marbles, and cribbage. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was very mischievous, stubborn, and opinionated but also honest, loving and caring. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents Jess and Dorthy Zysset.
Butch is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene. Children Lori (James) Engbrecht, Glen Zysset, Wayne (Karma) Zysset, Jeff (Cindy) Zysset, Kathy (Troy) Viter and Brenda (Chris) Cramer. 22 Grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren, three Great-Great Grandchildren, Siblings Dale Zysset and Jan (Roger) Earhart.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Friday, January 28, 2022, 4:00 - 7:00pm with family present from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
Funeral Services: Saturday, January 29, 2022, 2:00 pm, Farnam United Methodist Church with Pastor Dr. Duncan Ibuuri officiating.
Memorials may be given to the Farnam Methodist Church, or Central Plains Hospice.
