Duane Siemering

Duane G. Siemering, 80, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died August 16, 2020 at Gothenburg Health.

He was born January 23, 1940 in Gothenburg, NE, son of George and Evelyn Siemering.

Duane enjoyed woodworking, sitting on the front porch,  lending a helping hand to his neighbors, and gambling. He was proud of his time spent in the army working as a member of the signal corps. Duane could often be found at the coffee shop with his good friends Ron Kauffman and Jerry Jobman. Most of all, Duane loved his family. He cared deeply for his parents and spent as much time as he could with them up until their passing, He also enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include daughter, Tara (Robert) Young of Gothenburg, NE; son, Travis Siemering of Grand Island, NE; two granddaughters, Bryse Young, and Peyton Young; and grandson, Dawson Young.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Orva McCance, and Frances Kolbo, and brothers, Dennis Siemering, and Gary Siemering.

Memorial service will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department, or Central Plains Home Health and Hospice.
