Douglas D Flynn, 53, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died October 15, 2011 in Gothenburg, NE.
He was born August 19, 1958 in Lexington, NE, son of Donzel and Mildred Flynn.
Douglas lived in Lincoln for many years. His family moved to the Farnam area. He attended school at Lincoln. He went to heavy equipment school in Salt Lake City, UT where he learned to operated land leveling machines. He went to truck driving school in Hastings, NE. He enjoyed drawing, fishing, wood working, painting pictures, writing. He liked heavy equipment and semi trucks. He worked as a trucker until his health got bad. He enjoyed doing auto mechanic work. He was a member of the Lancaster Antique Auto Club.
Surviving are sister, Jennie Irmer of Lincoln, NE, sister, Sheila Flynn of Gothenburg, NE, four aunts Ardith (Richard) Weber; Wilma (Clarence) Putnam, Elna Jean Bevard all of Cozad and Janice Bevard of Lincoln; uncle Kenneth L Brown along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, grandfather, John R Flynn, grandmother, Jenny Flynn, grandfather, Leonard Brown, grandmother, Hazel Brown, along with several aunts and uncles.
