Dorothy Marshall, 87, of Gothenburg, died on April 7, 2008, at Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg.

Dorothy Lucille Puls was born on October 26, 1920 at Eustis , NE to H.J. and Anna (Jorges) Puls. She attended grade school at Salem Lutheran and later attended high school in Eustis.

Dorothy married Richard (Pete) Marshall on February 28, 1937. To this union two sons were born: Eldon and Leslie.

Dorothy enjoyed painting, bingo, cards, and gardening. Her favorite hobby was cooking; she enjoyed cooking for any event or family gathering. Her favorite was to bake pies and cakes. She also was a member of the American Lutheran Churc h and the Eastern Star.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Pete), her parents, five brothers: Ferdinand, Lester, Elmer, Walter (Fat), & Lawrence (Brownie) Puls.

Survivors include her sons: Leslie (Jackie) Marshall of Borger, TX and Eldon (Carole) Marshall of Stapleton, NE; five grandchildren: Craig (Vicky) Marshall of Niobrara, NE; Marcia (Jeff) Higgins of North Platte, NE; Corby (Summer) Marshall of Savannah, GA; Wesley (Melissa) Marshall of Clifton, TX; and Dr. Natalie Marshall (David Weisberg) of Albuquerque, NM; great grandchildren: Ciera Marshall; Emilee and Kacee Higgins; Emma, Julia, Claudia & Beck Marshall; & Julius Weisberg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, 2008, 9:00 a.m. toa�?7:00 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg , Nebraska .

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008, 2:30 p.m. at the American Lutheran Churc h, Gothenburg , Nebraska , with Pastor Matthew Groenke and Lonna Grabenstein officiating.

Burial will take place in the Gothenburg Cemetery .

Memorials are suggested to the American Lutheran Churc h or the Senior Center .
