Biography

Doris M Keiser, 86 of Gothenburg, passed away on October 22, 2007 at Gothenburg.

Doris was born on July 22, 1921, at Gothenburg, NE to Chris and Caroline (Duis) Gronewold. She graduated from Gothenburg High School and lived her entire life in Gothenburg. After graduation she taught in rural schools for 2 years.

Doris married Donald Keiser on May 27, 1945 in Gothenburg, to this union 4 daughters were born: Jeanine, Linda, Sandra & Susan.

Doris was a member of the American Lutheran Church, American Lutheran Church Women, Ladies Circles, and the ALC Quilters Group. She enjoyed playing Bridge, her flower garnden, refinishing antique picture frames and baking.

Doris is survived by her 4 daughters: Jeanine (Dave) Kline of Gothenburg; Linda (Douglas) McHenry of Hampton, NE; Sandra (Craig) Parsons of Crystal Lake, IL; Susan (Richard) DePasquale of Fairport, NY. 10 Grandchildren: Mitch (Elsa) Kline of Commerce City, CO; Jason (Megan) Kline of Littleton, CO; Chris Kline of Sidney, NE; Michelle McHenry of Grand Island, NE; Korey McHenry of Hampton, NE; Jillian Parsons and Lane Parsons of Crystal Lake, IL; Anthony DePasquale of Japan; Daniel DePasquale and Mary DePasquale of Fairport, NY. Four Great Grandchildren: Cadence, Camdon, Izabella & Ruby Kline.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don in 1966, 3 sisters: Linda, Laura, Jewel; 2 brothers: Bill & Ted.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2007 at the American Lutheran Church Gothenburg, Nebraska with Pastor Matthew Groenke and Lonna Grabenstien, PMA officiating.

Visitation will be 9-5, Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg.

Burial will be in the American Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial directed to the American Lutheran Church and Gothenburg Memorial Hospital Foundation.
