Donald R Miller, 69, of Gothenburg, NE, died July 3, 2017 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.
He was born June 12, 1948 in Lexington, NE, son of Vaun and Catherine (Resch) Miller.
Don served his country in the F Troop 8th Calvary Americal Division in the US Army as a Spec 5 in 1968 & 1969 during the Vietnam War. Don married Sheri Feddersen on January 7, 1972 and they had two boys - Brad & Brian. Don farmed for many years and enjoyed working with cattle. He also remodeled homes. He loved to weld, tinker on tractors and cars and work on the derby cars with his grandkids. Another pass time he liked was shooting trap. He enjoyed spending time with his family and having coffee with his friends.
Surviving are wife, Sheri Miller of Gothenburg, NE, sons Brad (Deanna) Miller of Gothenburg, Brian (Candace) Miller of Elizabeth, CO; grandchildren- Tyler, Trayven, and Tarynn Miller of Gothenburg; brother Glen (Diane) Miller of Kearney, sister Linda (Ron) Jensen of Long Beach, CA; Duane (Deanna) Miller of Missouri, brother in law Russ (Cathy) Feddersen of Minnesota along with nieces and nephews and friends. A very special furry friend Teagen.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Vaun and Catherine Miller.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, NE; Thursday, July 6, 1:00~8:00 PM with the family present from 3:00~5:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, 3:30 PM, at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg, NE with Military Honors.
Memorials may be designated to the Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department, NP Flight For Life, or a Veteran's Organization.
